GORYPTIC naît en septembre 2005. Sa création fait suite au groupe Heresy qui décida de changer de nom, celui-ci étant trop fréquemment utilisé. GORYPTIC se compose donc des mêmes membres que Heresy. Pour connaître l’histoire plus détaillée de Heresy, veuillez lire la biographie consacrée à Heresy.
Ce changement marque également une évolution du groupe au niveau du style : plus brutal death metal. GORYPTIC est actuellement en train de composer des nouveaux morceaux et reprend les concerts. Le groupe a partagé l’affiche avec Mesrine et a participé cette année au Skull Fucked Fest avec Suffereign, Sickbag, Trepan Dead, Bloody Sign, Ingurgitating Oblivion, Drowning
Sous le nom Heresy, les membres de GORYPTIC ont effectué de nombreux concerts en France (Valenciennes, Lille, Calais) et à l’étranger (participation au Mountains Of Death en 2004) et ont partagé l’affiche avec des groupes comme Spawn of Possession, Sinners Bleed, Despondency, Disgorge (Mex), Sanatorium, Hour of Penance, Stump Fucking, Trepan Dead, Byatis (RIP), Disgust...
Ils ont également enregistré un split CD « Trepan Dead VS Heresy » en 2002, puis un MCD « Psychotic Carnage » en 2004 qui leur permit de figurer sur différentes compiles.
